i can't stop listening to this song on repeat. haha. "Tarantallegra" is a fabulous dance track, but nothing beats a junsu!ballad. this kid was born to sing ballads. i'm sorry, i know he doesn't want to be boxed in, but with a voice like this... so pretty. *O*

now that i think about it, the dbsk boys were once asked what they'd do if they found out the girl they loved was getting married to another man... and think jaejoong said he'd go to her wedding and stare at her like a creeper. okay, those weren't his exact words, but he said he'd follow her and watch her.

not really. i mean... how serious could i possibly be? y'all know me, right? lol.

so racism_101 is highlighted on the lj login page these days and it made me think... reading some of the posts, they use the acronym, "PoC". it took me a minute (because i haven't been in school for some time, and i didn't do race/cultural studies even when i was in school) but i finally realized that it stood for "People of Colour".

and... how is that a politically correct term???

i don't want to be called a "person of colour". it doesn't make me feel better. it certainly *does* make me feel like you're about to say something racist. because we're all some kind of colour. caucasian people are called 'white', but no one is actually 'white'-coloured, so come onnnnn.

but i guess in that sense, maybe it IS politically correct. we are ALL 'people of colour' (some kind of colour). keke.

and this made me remember a paper i wrote in law school about applying sexual identity/preference against various legal decisions and laws (as in, was this decision affected by the sexual identity of the defendant? what if it was? what if it wasn't? does it make a difference). and in the paper, i had opted to use as markers, "H" and "!H" for "heteronormative" and "not!heteronormative". my professor gave me a good mark but she commented that some people might be offended by being called 'not!heteronormative'. i understood what she meant but i'd only chosen to use !H because the range of people in the !H category was so wide. i guess i could have called them # and @. it was probably the (not!) that was offensive.

anyway... so i guess now that i've been lumped in as a "person of colour", i understand what my professor meant about being slightly offended by the term "not!heteronormative".

you learn something new about yourself everyday. :D

i don't know how i feel about the overall concept of the music video... it's a little too Lady Gaga for my preference. I don't mind the genderbending, but somehow the whole thing feels like it could have been made for Lady Gaga except that they plopped junsu into it. so i think it's a little derivative (is that the word i'm looking for?).



but... i sort of love the song. :D and junsu is still the cutest chibiest chibi eber. :D my favourite look actually appears at 1:35 (with the red, braided head band). my least favourite look is the orange hair. @_@

the choreo is by Jeri Slaughter and i'm sooooo happy that they've introduced junsu to tutting (wish we got a full sequence instead of just a couple moves though). junsu's a great dancer when it comes to hitting hard and sharp movements. *O*

you know... i realized that my inability to colour properly really shows when i play Draw Something. people who know how to colour their pictures (ahem, p0rc) do the colouring first and then put the lineart over top of the colour. i... draw the lineart and then try to squish the colours into the whitespace as best i can. lol.

wow... drawing takes so much longer in my old age. (or rather, in my rusty state). hahaha!

2) little baby junsu is going to come out with a solo album!!!! i am so exciiiiiited. he is really, really perfect. hahaha. okay, i'm biased. whatevs, yo. junsuuuuuuuu~~~ \(^O^)/
3) i'm trying to re-discover my love of grapefruit.

apparently my dad is also chasing 'Game of Thrones'. lol. but not enough to read the books. (he's being such a lazy butt. keke.)

nevertheless, while we can definitely agree to discuss it in depth over the phone monday nights from here on out... i think we have come to a mutual unspoken agreement that there are way too many explicit sex scenes for us to watch the show together. hahahaha. talk about awkward.
